CAR RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
• Minimum rental period for unlimited mileage: 3 days.
• For rentals of less than 3 days, mileage limits apply according to the vehicle category and availability.
REQUIREMENTS:
Acceptance of the Rental Terms & Conditions and signature of the Rental Agreement and applicable annexes.
Valid driver’s license.
Minimum age of 25 years for cars.
Minimum age of 30 years for 4×4 SUVs and vans.
A valid credit card with sufficient available credit to cover the rental amount and the applicable deductible is required as a guarantee. The corresponding payment and guarantee documents must be signed.
COMPANIES: A purchase order must be provided expressly accepting responsibility for payment of the rental, the applicable deductible in the event of damage, and any rescue or recovery costs. The purchase order must also include the name and contact telephone number of the authorized person responsible.
PAYMENT METHODS:
Credit card.
Cash.
Bank transfer to our checking account.
Payment can be made when the vehicle is delivered.
WHEN TO PAY:
Payment must be made before the start of the rental period or when the vehicle is received.
Prepayments are non-refundable. Cancellations must be made at least 30 days before the scheduled start of the rental.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES:
International travel permit, insurance and required authorizations: CLP $120,000, valid for up to one week.
Snow chains: CLP $3,500 per day.
Night-time vehicle delivery:
20:00–24:00: CLP $55,000 (one way).
00:00–06:00: CLP $55,000 (one way).
Baby/child seat: CLP $3,500 per day.
GPS: CLP $6,500 per day.
Pick-up in Punta Arenas and drop-off in Puerto Natales: CLP $120,000 (one way).
Delivery outside the Punta Arenas urban area, up to 10 km: CLP $10,000.
INTERNATIONAL DROP-OFF SERVICES
International travel permits and authorizations are required.
Pick-up in Punta Arenas and drop-off in El Calafate: CLP $480,000 (one way).
Pick-up in Punta Arenas and drop-off in Ushuaia: CLP $650,000 (one way).
Pick-up in Punta Arenas and drop-off in Río Gallegos: CLP $250,000 (one way).
LONG-DISTANCE DROP-OFF SERVICES
Drop-off from Punta Arenas to Santiago: CLP $1,600,000 (one way).
Drop-off from Punta Arenas to Puerto Montt: CLP $1,300,000 (one way).
RATE INCLUDES:
19% VAT.
Minimum rental period: 3 days.
Two authorized drivers at no additional charge.
Unlimited mileage for rentals of 3 days or more.
Vehicle damage coverage and limited third-party liability coverage, subject to the applicable deductible:
CARS, PICK-UP TRUCKS AND 4×2 SUVs
Minor Damage: Damage to the rental vehicle valued at or below the applicable collision deductible.
Collision: 20 UF + VAT (approximately USD $1,000).
Rollover: 40 UF + VAT (approximately USD $2,000).
Vehicle leaving the roadway / falling down an embankment: 60 UF + VAT (approximately USD $3,000).
The applicable deductible applies whether or not the vehicle is considered a total loss. Rescue, recovery and transportation costs back to the vehicle’s place of origin are additional.
4×4 SUVs AND 4×4 PICK-UP TRUCKS
Minor Damage: Damage to the rental vehicle valued at or below the applicable collision deductible.
Collision: 30 UF + VAT (approximately USD $1,500).
Rollover: 60 UF + VAT (approximately USD $3,000).
Vehicle leaving the roadway / falling down an embankment: 60 UF + VAT (approximately USD $3,000).
The applicable deductible applies whether or not the vehicle is considered a total loss. Rescue, recovery and transportation costs back to the vehicle’s place of origin are additional.
7- AND 9-PASSENGER VANS
Minor Damage: Damage to the rental vehicle valued at or below the applicable collision deductible.
Collision: 40 UF + VAT (approximately USD $2,000).
Rollover: 80 UF + VAT (approximately USD $4,000).
Vehicle leaving the roadway / falling down an embankment: 80 UF + VAT (approximately USD $4,000).
The applicable deductible applies whether or not the vehicle is considered a total loss. Rescue, recovery and transportation costs back to the vehicle’s place of origin are additional.
ALSO INCLUDED:
Route map.
Vehicle maintenance up to date.
3M protective and tinted window film on selected SUVs, subject to availability.
Factory-installed alarm system, where equipped.
Baby/child seat at no additional charge.
RATE DOES NOT INCLUDE:
Roadside assistance outside the urban area of Punta Arenas or in remote areas.
Fuel.
Repair of punctured tires and/or replacement of damaged or destroyed tires during the rental period.
Coverage for broken or damaged vehicle windows and glass.
Transportation of replacement tires or roadside tire repair services.
Ferry transportation and crossing fees.
Entrance fees to national parks or attractions in Chile or abroad.
Replacement of lost vehicle or ignition keys.
Insurance coverage for engine or transmission (gearbox) damage when such damage is not the result of a collision, rollover or the vehicle leaving the roadway.
Any other exclusions or circumstances specified in the particular terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement.

To process your reservation, please provide the following information:
Copy of the renter’s passport or identification document.
Copy of the additional driver’s passport or identification document, if applicable.
Copy of each driver’s valid driver’s license, including the expiration date.
